4.4 Right on Baylys Beach on Northland's west coast, Northern Wairoa Golf Club is known locally for its sea views, wide fairways and pohutukawa-lined holes. Unusually for a coastal layout, the course has no bunkers at all, relying on its sandy base and well-kept greens to provide the challenge instead. It sits just five minutes from Dargaville, right beside the Tasman Sea.
