4.2 Walton Golf Club marked its centenary in April 2022, having played continuously through a century in this pocket of lush hills, bush and farmland roughly thirty minutes from Hamilton. The eighteen-hole course is billed by the club as an easy walk, planted with attractive trees and clearly defined fairways rather than laid out for brute difficulty. Its central North Island location, midway between Hamilton, Tauranga and Auckland, makes it a popular stopover for regional golf trips.
