Waitomo

Waitomo Golf Club sits five minutes from Otorohanga and about ten kilometres from the Waitomo Caves, in the same district used for Middle-earth filming locations. The eighteen-hole championship course runs to 5,875 metres, with the par-4 6th singled out by the club as its signature hole - tough enough to test a strong player but still forgiving for less ambitious golfers. The club has recently merged with the Otorohanga club, and squash courts and function facilities sit alongside the course.
