4.1 Waitara Golf Club, known locally as Airedale Links, sits about eighteen kilometres from central New Plymouth with spectacular views of the Tasman Sea, the Taranaki coastline and the mountain itself. It's a genuinely compact links course - just 4,756 metres and par 67 for men - but the club maintains it packs real challenge into the shorter yardage. The course sits near New Plymouth Airport, convenient for both local members and visiting golfers touring the coast.
