4.3 (Provisional rating) Waipukurau Golf Club's eighteen holes run across gently undulating old river terraces in Central Hawke's Bay, with mature tree-lined fairways and well-kept greens taking advantage of the former flood-plain topography. Weather plays a real role here - carts are restricted in wet conditions and frost can delay morning starts until around 9:30am - reflecting the club's inland, seasonal climate. It's a well-maintained, established layout on State Highway 2 rather than a recent build.
