The Kinloch golf course

The Kinloch

New Zealand > North Island > Waikato

GolfWise 4.3

The Kinloch Club is New Zealand's only Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, set above Lake Taupo about thirty minutes from town. The links-inspired eighteen holes feature undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and elevated greens, with routing designed so each hole feels self-contained despite the open volcanic landscape and lake views throughout. Nicklaus himself has pointed to the surrounding fishing, hunting and outdoor recreation as part of the appeal, and the course has previously topped New Zealand's rankings at the World Golf Awards.
