The Hills golf course

The Hills

New Zealand > South Island > Otago

GolfWise 4.6

The Hills grew organically from the 1980s, when Sir Michael and Christine Hill bought farmland on McEntyres Hill near Arrowtown and Sir Michael began building a putting green in his own front garden, gradually expanding it into a full par-three layout over the following years. Three decades on it has become a renowned championship eighteen-hole course with a thriving membership, doubling as an open-air sculpture gallery across the property. In late 2023 the Hill family struck a strategic alliance with developers Ric Kayne and Jim Rohrstaff, previously behind Tara Iti and Te Arai Links.
