4.2 Tai Tapu Golf Club was voted New Zealand Golf's favourite nine-hole course in a national member survey, playing a compact, tree-lined layout tucked into an arc of the Halswell River at the foot of the Otahuna Valley, sixteen kilometres from Christchurch on the Akaroa Highway. Generously sized greens balance the course's shorter scale, and a spacious clubhouse balcony overlooks the grounds. It's a genuine standout among Canterbury's many small nine-hole clubs.
