4.5 Royal Auckland and Grange traces back to 1894, formed through the merger of two of the country's most prestigious clubs, and now fields 27 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus at Papatoetoe, close to Auckland Airport. SubAir-drained greens and an award-winning clubhouse by architect Andrew Patterson back up its standing as one of the region's premier metropolitan clubs, with coaching led by Marcus Wheelhouse and event space for up to 120 guests.
