4.2 Roxburgh Golf Club was established around 1904 on State Highway 8 in Central Otago, a compact 4,372-metre layout with a self-styled "hidden gem" reputation. Rugged, schist-dotted fairways and genuinely amazing scenery run throughout the course, distracting enough that course management becomes as much a mental test as the golf itself. The par-4 4th is the club's recommended signature hole, and the course sits conveniently near the well-known Jimmy's Pies roadside stop.
