4.3 Rangatira Golf Course sits twelve kilometres north of Hunterville on State Highway 1, with the Rangitikei River running through stunning views across a genuinely distinctive three-level layout. Its standout feature is a working electric cable car - the only one on any New Zealand golf course - that helps golfers navigate the elevation changes between levels. The course featured on Sky TV's The Golf Club in 2009 and has picked up a Golf Rankings "Hidden Gem" award, with many rating it among the best in the lower North Island.
