Purangi
New Zealand > North Island > Waikato
Purangi Golf & Country Club sits on rolling farmland near Hot Water Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula, with a creek that winds through much of the nine-hole layout. Greens are small and undulating, making approach play the real test, and green fees run on an honesty-box system. Hole names draw on Maori language, and turkeys wandering the fairways are as much a part of the experience as the golf itself.
