Pukekohe
New Zealand > North Island > Auckland
Pukekohe Golf Club dates to 1912, though the current Karaka Road course didn't open until April 1939, laid out by Charles Redhead - the same architect behind courses at Rotorua, New Plymouth and Manawatu. Known as Auckland's driest course thanks to its free-draining ground, the parkland layout runs past three lakes and mature trees, with later refinements from Commander John Harris in the 1960s and Grant Puddicombe's firm in 2003.
