3.6 The Pines is the wooded half of Pauanui Golf Club's two nine-hole courses, set among mature trees with gently undulating fairways a short distance from its sister course, The Lakes. Like The Lakes, it plays to a par of 29 across roughly 1,500 metres from the blue tees, rewarding careful course management over raw power. The two nines sit in slightly separate parts of Pauanui Beach and combine for a full eighteen-hole visit.
