3.6 The Lakes course is one of two nine-hole layouts that make up Pauanui Golf Club, this one built around water and native planting with peaceful lake views across most holes. It plays to a par of 29 over roughly 1,500 metres from the blue tees, with strategically placed hazards and gently undulating fairways demanding accuracy over length. Together with its sister course, The Pines, it forms an eighteen-hole round for members and visitors at Pauanui Beach.
