Patea
New Zealand > North Island > Taranaki
Patea Golf Club's eighteen holes sit on cliffs above the Tasman Sea on the South Taranaki coast, with views stretching to Mount Taranaki and, on a clear day, Mount Ruapehu. Sheep graze the fairways alongside regular mowing, and unusually for a links course, the layout is entirely bunkerless - a gentle, undulating, easy-walking round rather than a punishing one. It plays to a par of 73 over 5,627 metres for men, with no tee booking required.
