3.7 Established in 1956 on what was once swamp and estuary land, Otumoetai Golf Club required decades of drainage work from early members before the fairways played as they do today. The name translates to "Peaceful Waters," and the nine-hole, park-like layout remains flat and walkable, less than 3.5km from central Tauranga, with alternative tees allowing an 18-hole round.
