Opunake
New Zealand > North Island > Taranaki
Opunake Golf Club sits about three kilometres north of town on Namu Road, a reasonably flat eighteen holes livened up by the occasional volcanic lahar mound. Tree-lined fairways open onto both sea and mountain views, and sheep graze freely across the course, giving it a genuinely pastoral, working-farm character rather than a manicured resort feel. It plays to a par of 71 for both men and women, over 5,309 and 4,809 metres respectively.
