4.2 Onewhero Golf Club has played at its Pukekawa site since 1961, about 40 minutes south of Auckland near the Mercer crossing of the Waikato River, having first formed back in 1929. Volcanic soil feeds lush, mature trees across the 18-hole layout, and water hazards and bunkers add to a genuinely testing round. Close to six decades at the one site have given the course a settled, established character.
