Nopera Bay
New Zealand > South Island > Marlborough
Nopera Golf Club is the only golf course in the Marlborough Sounds, set on a working farm at Kenepuru Sound with dramatic coastal scenery on every hole. Sheep share the fairways in genuinely rural fashion - the club's own site jokes about balls lost to grazing stock - while modern irrigation keeps the nine holes playable through the region's high rainfall and occasional dry summers. Entirely volunteer-run, the club also offers lawn croquet and hosts corporate team-building days alongside regular golf.
