Mount (Mt Maunganui)
New Zealand > North Island > Bay of Plenty
Mount Maunganui Golf Club traces its roots to 1935, when 450 local residents secured the land for free on condition the course be named Brandonmere Links and designed by Charles Redhead, New Zealand's only "official" golf architect at the time. Expanded to 18 holes before the war, then relocated and redesigned in 1947, the tree-lined course now sits just minutes from Mount Maunganui's surf beach, with an unusual layout of three six-hole blocks that allows 6, 12 or 18-hole rounds.
