Manukorihi
New Zealand > North Island > Taranaki
Manukorihi Golf Club dates to 1904 and moved several times in its early decades due to land constraints and erosion, before a 1968 clubhouse fire forced a decisive change. Members responded by buying 45 acres of new land for $30,000, and the redesigned course reopened with twelve holes in April 1970, expanding to a full eighteen by 1974. The club's name recalls the original course's access road at the foot of Manukorihi Hill, hinting at the hillier ground the layout once covered.
