Mangakino
New Zealand > North Island > Waikato
Mangakino Golf Club traces back to July 1949, when sixteen founding members marked out a course on farmland at the edge of town. Club history records an expansion by 1951, built largely by volunteer labour from local farms and the Ministry of Works on land once used by the Maori Affairs Department. A modern clubhouse replaced the original military-surplus building in 1960, and today looks out over Lake Maraetai.
