Mahia

Mahia Golf Course is a nine-hole seaside layout on the Mahia Peninsula, the distinctive landform reaching out between Poverty Bay and Hawke's Bay that Maori tradition names Te Matau a Maui, the fish-hook of Maui. Sandy and rocky beaches ring the peninsula, offering both exposed and sheltered coastline close to the course. It sits about an hour from Gisborne and two hours from Napier, making it as much a stop on a wider coastal trip - surfing, fishing, diving - as a golf destination in its own right.
