3.8 Kingston Golf Club has run for around fifty years at the southern gateway to Central Otago, where Lake Wakatipu meets the Eyre and Hector mountain ranges. Small creeks and mature poplar, larch, pine and oak plantings shape the nine holes, which play to a par of 72 for both men and women. It bills itself as "the locals' course where all are welcome," with a regular Sunday club day and a licensed clubhouse for post-round socialising.
