4.3 Karori Golf Club sits in an idyllic country pocket of Makara, surrounded by native bush-clad hills that give the round a genuinely peaceful, birdsong-filled atmosphere. Two stony streams wind through or border all but four of the holes, and several greens are elevated, adding real complexity to otherwise manageable approaches. The course is walking-only - no carts are available - and its browntop putting surfaces are rated among the best around.
