Kaitangata
New Zealand > South Island > Otago
Kaitangata Golf Club has run for more than a century in this small South Otago town on the Clutha River, playing nine holes on genuinely picturesque grounds. Despite that long history, the club had never won a South Otago pennant title in the competition's roughly 60-year run until June 2025, when a team led by captain Kevin McCabe finally broke the drought with a Junior B grade win over Allan Grange. It's a fitting, feel-good milestone for one of the district's longest-running small clubs.
