Jacks Point
New Zealand > South Island > Otago
Jack's Point Golf Course opened in 2008, designed by Darby Partners of Queenstown across a site sold for development in 1999 by Dickson Jardine. The land takes its name from Jack Tewa, a Maori guide who carried out a heroic rescue on Lake Wakatipu in 1862, and the par-72 championship course sits within a 1,200-hectare settlement at the foot of the Remarkables, on the shores of the lake. A conservation covenant protects the wider landscape, ensuring only five per cent of the vast site is ever built on.
