Hawkestone
New Zealand > North Island > Manawatū-Whanganui
Hawkestone Golf Club sits on the banks of the Kakariki wetlands between Halcombe and State Highway 1, with the clubhouse perched above the bottom three fairways and an adjacent lake. Nine fairways carry eighteen tee blocks and two pin placements per green, letting a full round be played from the compact layout. Founded in 1930 explicitly as "the club for the working man and his family," that accessible, inclusive spirit still shapes the club's approach today.
