GolfWise 4.3

Hawkes Bay Golf Club was originally established as Flaxmere Golf Club before taking its current name, and sits on 142 acres of pumice land at Bridge Pa, ten kilometres southwest of Hastings. English architect Commander John Harris - who also designed Wairakei - laid out the course, weaving 37 bunkers and several water hazards through moderately undulating, considerable-length holes. The club bills itself as the youngest of the region's four major courses, and remains active in junior golf development.
