4.2 Culverden Golf Club plays nine holes in the Amuri Basin, 37 kilometres south of Hanmer Springs on State Highway 7, with the Lowry Hills, Kaikoura Ranges and Southern Alps all visible from the course. A creek winds through the layout, adding natural hazards to the otherwise open, mountain-ringed terrain. The spacious clubhouse doubles as an event venue for visiting clubs and society days.
