4.2 Cheviot Golf Club plays a distinctive twelve holes five minutes west of Cheviot township, roughly midway between Christchurch and Kaikoura on State Highway 1. Flat, beautifully landscaped land with views to the Kaikoura Ranges is threaded by a small stream that adds natural character to several holes. A bar and function room support a welcoming, community-focused club that runs Saturday men's and Thursday ladies' competition through the March-to-October season.
