4.2 (Provisional rating) Castlepoint Golf Club bills itself as one of the best-value coastal country courses in New Zealand, a nine-holer maintained largely by local volunteers near the dramatic Castlepoint coastline. Ben Campbell, one of the club's best-ever players, has gone on to compete at the Open Championship at St Andrews - a notable achievement for such a small, remote club. Visitors of all levels are genuinely welcome on this rugged stretch of the Wairarapa coast.
