Barley Station golf course

Barley Station

New Zealand > South Island > Otago

GolfWise 4.3 (Provisional rating)

Barley Station is a private course near Wanaka on the 41-hectare farm America's Cup sailing legend Sir Russell Coutts bought in 2005. Course designer Greg Turner of Arrowtown drew up a 2021 expansion adding nine holes to Coutts' original layout, taking it to a full eighteen with mounds, greens and fairways carved into the farmland. Coutts has wryly admitted his own golf game is "crap" despite his commitment to developing the course.
