Awatere
New Zealand > South Island > Marlborough
Awatere Golf Club has run since 1927, drawing members from across the Marlborough and Clarence districts to a nine-hole layout playing to par 70 for men and par 74 for women. Around 100 members keep the volunteer-run club going year-round, with extended summer hours letting visitors play a full eighteen or a quick nine. Self-contained caravans are welcome to stay overnight, and the club's pennant sides compete for the Foote and MacDonald Cups.
