Arrowtown
New Zealand > South Island > Otago
Arrowtown Golf Club was first laid out with six holes in 1911 but soon disbanded, reviving as a nine-hole course in 1936 and expanding across the road to a full eighteen in 1971. Tight fairways winding through rocky little valleys have earned it the affectionate nickname "Narrowtown," where placement matters more than power off the tee. A full irrigation upgrade in 2001 transformed what had been a quirky, unpredictable test into a genuinely competitive layout that now rivals New Zealand's premier courses.
